Boosting Your Tesla's Sound System: The Way to More Impact and Quality!

Updated: Sep 23

Tesla motor, being leaders in the electric vehicle market, are highly sophisticated cars designed with advanced features. One such feature is the immersive sound system, which comes as standard in Model S, Model 3, and Model Y. However, for those audiophiles out there craving a more powerful bass sound or higher quality sound, there are several ways to enhance your Tesla's audio system. Let's explore how to crank up the bass and make your Tesla sound even better!

EQ Settings

Firstly, consider adjusting the settings in the car's sound system itself. Tesla’s inbuilt sound system offers an equalizer setting that allows you to adjust the bass, mid, and treble levels. To access this feature, go to the 'Audio Settings' on the vehicle's main display and navigate to 'Tone'. From there, you can manually increase the bass level to your liking. While adjusting the bass, remember to experiment with mid and treble levels to avoid overwhelming the overall sound quality. [more on this in another article]

Original Audio Files

Secondly, consider investing in high-quality audio files. The music files you play greatly affect the quality of sound you hear. Opt for uncompressed, high-quality audio files instead of MP3s to achieve better sound. Services like Tidal offer Hi-Fi streaming, which can greatly improve your overall audio experience in the car. Remember to adjust your media player's settings to ensure you're using the best possible audio quality.

For those wanting to go the extra mile, adding a subwoofer can drastically enhance the bass in your Tesla. While Model S and Model 3 come with a subwoofer, the Model Y does not. Even so, aftermarket subwoofers can provide a significant boost. Always choose a subwoofer that complements your Tesla’s existing sound system, and remember, installation should ideally be performed by a professional to avoid any potential damage to the vehicle’s electronics.

Better Amplifier and more powerful and efficient speakers

In short, just try upgrade to Light Harmonic's TAS speakers and amplifiers. You will tell the difference in few seconds after super easy installation.

Deaden material

Lastly, sound deadening material could be installed in your Tesla to further enhance the bass and overall audio quality. This material works by reducing road noise and vibrations, thereby creating a quieter environment within the vehicle that allows the music to shine. Various kits are available on the market specifically designed for Tesla.

In conclusion, enhancing the bass and overall sound in your Tesla can be achieved by tweaking the equalizer settings, opting for high-quality audio files, adding a new set of speakers, subwoofer, or amplifier and installing sound deadening material. With these strategies, you can transform your Tesla into a moving concert hall, enjoying a rich and immersive music experience as you cruise down the road.

Purchased an earlier set for my model Y performance and absolutely love them. That’s one of the struggles I have had trading in my vehicle or giving it up is losing those speakers. I am really happy to see that you continue to evolve the brand and expanded to other vehicles like the model S. I hope that you come out with a version for the cyber truck.
